Dr. Alfred Theodor Ritter is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the chocolate company Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co. KG; founder member, principal shareholder and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Ritter Energie- und Umwelttechnik GmbH & Co. KG, member of the Supervisory Board of Solar-Fabrik AG, member of the Boards of Trustees of the Neue Energie Schönauer-Energie-Initiativen Foundation and the Viamedica Foundation.
With the motto “only a sustainably operating company can be a future-fit company”, he founded in 1988 the Ritter Energie und Umwelt GmbH & Co. KG, making him a pioneer in the field of renewable energies. The guiding principle of his entrepreneurial approach is responsibility for people and for the environment.
Proclaimed “Eco Manager of the Year” in 1997 already, Alfred has received numerous German and international sustainability awards including the China-Europe Sustainability Award. He was also given the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
