The European Green Deal is much needed, but it is designed for Europe, not a global transition to sustainability. For it to truly succeed, Europe needs to reconsider its relationships with – and policies toward – most of the world. This discussion hosted by the OECD will look at what’s needed to implement the European Green Deal at a global scale and specifically, how international relationships and governance can be reframed to enable a global transition to sustainability.

Speakers include: The Club of Rome co-president Sandrine Dixson-Declève, Janez Potočnik, SYSTEMIQ, Heather Grabbe, Open Society, Jo Tyndall, Director of the Environment Directorate at OECD, Philippe Varin, former CEO at PSA Peugeot Citroën, François Gemenne, Specialist in Environmental Geopolitics and Migration Governance at the University of Liège.

Co-authored by The Club of Rome, Open Society Foundations and SYSTEMIQ Ltd., the International System Change Compass report provides key principles and policy recommendations for Europe to build new resilient relationships with global partners for a net-zero and green transition – at home and around the world.
