This event brings together authors of the Earth For All report and leading academics at Imperial College London and University College London to unpack the findings and discuss the implications for both public and business policy.

As we emerge from 2022 — a year characterized by a polycrisis of intertwined environmental, security, and social emergencies — 2023 presents a new opportunity to build an upgraded economic system, one which puts our societies on a pathway towards wellbeing for all within planetary boundaries. Earth for All: A Survival Guide for Humanity, a new report published by the Club of Rome, offers an alternative to our current economic system which is failing people and planet. Using state-of-the-art computer modelling to explore policies likely to deliver the most good for the majority of people, the report sets out how extraordinary action across five essential areas (poverty, inequality, empowerment, energy, food) can deliver a bright future for all on a relatively stable planet.

Speakers: Sandrine Dixson-Declève, Co-President of the Club of Rome and co-author of Earth for All: A Survival Guide for Humanity, Bob Constanza, Professor of Ecological Economics at the Institute for Global Prosperity at University College London and member of The Club of Rome, Maurizio Zollo, Scientific Director of the Leonardo Centre on Business for Society and Professor of Strategy and Sustainability, Kate Pickett, OBE, Professor of Epidemiology, University of York and contributor to Earth for All: A Survival Guide for Humanity and Dame Carol Propper, Professor of Economics at Imperial College Business School.
