Sadowski, Zdzislaw L.

Prof. Zdzislaw L. Sadowski is a Polish economist. He is Professor emeritus of Development Economics at the University of Warsaw, Poland. In the late 1980s, he became Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland and took responsibility for institutional reforms of the economic system. He served for many years as President (1985-2005) of the Polish Economic Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Ekonomiczne) and now serves as Honorary President.

Prof. Sadowski was one of the founders of the Polish Association for the Club of Rome and its president in the 1990-s. He took active part in several annual CoR meetings and its working parties, e.g. on governance (led by Ricardo Hochleitner-Diez).
