At the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), Kallidaikurichi Easwaran Seetharam is the task manager for the partnership between Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and ADBI on leadership capacity development on non-sewered sanitation. He advises JR East on human resources development for the design, construction, and implementation of India’s first high-speed rail.
At the University of Tokyo, his research at the Center for Spatial Information Science covers government policies and institutional mechanisms for unlocking philanthropy and private finance to build quality public infrastructure and deliver universal healthcare and education in developing countries in Asia.
He obtained his Dr. Eng. from the University of Tokyo in 1990 where his thesis supervisor was Professor Hideo Nakamura, President emeritus of Tokyo City University; M. Eng. from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand; and B. Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras. He is a fellow at the faculty of engineering of the University of Tokyo.
