Muhammad Mateen Naveed is a financial and banking economist with a PhD in Economics from the Beijing University of Technology, where a Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) fully funded his research. His doctoral dissertation pioneered comprehensive econometric frameworks—including Stochastic Frontier Analysis, Bootstrap Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Dynamic Panel Generalised Method of Moments (GMM)—to investigate the drivers of efficiency and convergence within Pakistan’s banking sector, particularly focusing on the impact of digitalisation and competition. His work was recognised by the Beijing University of Technology with the Special Research Innovation Award 2025.
Naveed’s research bridges the gap between advanced quantitative methods and real-world policy. He has published extensively in high-impact SSCI Q1 journals and is currently expanding his research to include the synergistic effects of green innovation and industry 4.0 on supply chain efficiency.
