Mortensen, Lars Fogh

Lars Fogh Mortensen is a trained economist of development and environment from the University of Copenhagen with 30 years of experience on sustainability from international organisations. Mortensen has worked as an expert and economist at the EU Institution the European Environment Agency (EEA) for the past 20 years, most recently focusing my work on preparing reports and providing policy advice on sustainable consumption, circular economy, textiles and plastics.

Before joining the EEA, Mortensen worked for the OECD leading the writing of the first OECD Environmental Outlook and before that for the UN Division for Sustainable Development as a focal point on sustainable development indicators.

Mortensen has written and co-written a large number of reports and academic articles on sustainability, sustainable consumption and production, circular economy and wellbeing economy. He is a co-founder of the Global Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEALL) and currently working with others to form the Danish Wellbeing Economy Alliance.
