SUMMARY:Elevating education as a win-win for the SDGs
DESCRIPTION:At the 2023 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Summit\, Club 
 of Rome Co-President Sandrine Dixson-Déclève will speak in the panel “
 Elevating education as a win-win for SDGs”\, which aims to explore prior
 ities to boost ambition\, investment\, and progress action for education e
 verywhere. As we reach the halftime mark of the SDGs\, we must mobilise am
 bition\, innovation\, and a comprehensive approach to keep the promise of 
 Goal 4.\n\nIf present trends continue\, by 2030 some 84 million children w
 ill be out of school and 300 million more will lack the necessary skills i
 n reading and mathematics.  New investments and commitments are needed to
  transform education. The session will bring youth voices to the front and
  centre\, joining together with education advocates\, world leaders\, reno
 wned athletes\, civil society\, and the private sector representatives.\n\
 nMore about the Halftime Talks at the SDG Pavillon\n\nThe UN Office for Pa
 rtnerships is working with Project Everyone\, a not-for-profit communicati
 ons agency co-founded by SDG Advocate and the screenwriter Richard Curtis\
 , in collaboration with artist Es Devlin\, to create the SDG Pavilion\, a 
 unique convening space and art installation. The SDG Pavilion will host a
  series of Halftime Talks about mobilizing the world to keep the promise o
 f the SDGs from 19-22 September as part of the SDG Summit.\n\nAlong with S
 andrine Dixson-Déclève\, speakers will include Egoitz Etxeandia Romero\,
  STEAM Lead Consultant at Teach For All\, Julieta Martinez Founder of Fund
 ación Tremendas\, and Mason Fong\, 9th grade high school student\, Kameha
 meha Schools\, Honolulu\, Hawaii. The session will be moderated by Temilad
 e Salami\, Founder and Executive Director of EcoChampions\, Nigeria.
