DESCRIPTION:The Club of Rome is an organising partner at the  Beyond Growt
 h 2024 Conference in Italy which will bring together top-level politicians
 \, academics\, activists and citizens from different backgrounds to explor
 e alternative visions and sustainable solutions to incessant economic grow
 th.\n\nWe are at a critical crossroads. The multidimensional and multi-sec
 toral crises threatening the foundations of planetary and human life neces
 sitate the exploration of alternatives to never-ending economic growth. Th
 is two-day event will critically explore the paradigms of sustainable deve
 lopment\, post-growth and degrowth\, addressing urgent issues such as the 
 climate and ecological crisis\, the reorganisation of work\, welfare and c
 are in a degrowth economy and the importance of translation into concrete 
 action.\n\nSpeakers will include: Kate Raworth\, Economist and lecturer at
  the University of Oxford and member of The Club of Rome and Lorenzo Fiora
 monti\, Founding Director of the Institute for Sustainability of the Unive
 rsity of Surrey\, member of The Club of Rome.\n\nLocation: The conference
