Prof. Ricardo Díez-Hochleitner is a Spanish diplomat, educational reformist and economist. He is Honorary President of The Club of Rome and Founder and Honorary President of the Spanish Chapter of the Club of Rome. He is also Board member of numerous foundations and non-profit associations, in Spain and abroad, among which the Foundation for the Future in Washington USA, the Bertelsmann Foundation in Spain and KidsRights International.
Previously, he held senior positions at the World Bank, UNESCO and the Organization of American States (OAS). He has also worked many years for the Ministry of Education of both Spain and Colombia.
He is a member and former Vice-President of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. Ricardo has received eight honorary doctorates and many national and international and national awards Such as France’s Commandeur au Merite.
