Dubrulle, Mark



Mark Dubrulle is President of The Club of Rome EU-Chapter, CoR-EU, in Brussels. He has more than 40 year professional experience in environmental protection, management, communications and European affairs. A founding member of the Belgian environmental confederation Bond Beter Leefmilieu / Inter-environnement, Mark was its National Secretary from 1970 to 1980 and delegate at the first UN Conference on the Human Environment (Stockholm 1972). He was also co-founder and first Secretary of the Flemish green party Agalev (presently Groen!), and senior consultant to dozens of industrial companies, government agencies and the European Commission. He is a Past President of the European Society for Environment and Development (ESED), GreenFacts – Scientific facts on Health and Environment – and the Forum Europe of Cultures. Trained as a cadet at the Naval School, he spent two years at sea. His academic background is in social sciences at the Social Academy of his hometown Ghent (BE).
