Hudson, Cecil

Dr. Cecil Hudson is a retired physicist and a member (and past President) of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Association for the Club of Rome. He is a Director of the Tenzin Gyatso Institute, which promotes programs that reflect the vision of the 14th Dalai Lama.

In 1961, he joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. While at the Lab, he chaired the Futures Planning Council of the Episcopal Diocese of California. In 1972, he joined Science Applications, Inc., leaving in 1981 to join a series of high technology companies in San Diego, none of which exist today. In 1998, Cecil founded a new company, Business Information Solutions, LLC to provide implementation services to companies using SAP software. The company was sold in 2005.

Cecil’s interests include international security policy, and promoting empathy and compassion in society. Cecil holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Virginia, and a BS in Physics from Georgia Tech.
