Mr. Joerg Geier, Germany – Associate at the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School

Prior to working independently as a strategy consultant for an online learning platform, Joerg was Director of Cambridge Executive Education (CEE) at Cambridge Judge Business School where he was responsible for the leadership of the overall external business development function including client relationship management, acquisition and inquiry response, management of the sales pipeline and proposal development for all of Cambridge Executive Education’s customised and international programmes.

This included the identification and initiation of strategic projects and initiatives. Joerg developed key accounts and conducted needs assessments with clients. His responsibilities also included the co-ordination of CEE’s strategic goals and activities.

Joerg previously acted as Deputy Secretary General of The Club of Rome (2005-2007) of which he remains a member.  The Club of Rome is an international think tank of eminent scholars advocating long-term global thinking and action for the improvement of our societies.  As an analyst at CatCap Corporate Finance (2003-2004), Joerg focused on the SME segment.  Joerg helped co-ordinate investors relations, evaluated business plans and developed financial plans.

During his professional and academic career, Joerg has taken on positions at a range of for-profit and not-for-profit organisations.  He managed project teams, represented groups at international conferences and co-organised panel discussions on various issues concerning international affairs. Other professional engagements included associate at management consulting firms.

Joerg was selected as a Fulbright Scholar and completed a two-year MBA programme at Golden Gate University, San Francisco (USA) in 2003.
