Book Launch of Come On! in London

As part of the 50th anniversary of the Club of Rome, this event on April 26th will launch Anders Wijkman and Ernst von Weizsäcker’s book Come On! Capitalism, Short-termism, Population and the Destruction of the Planet: A Report to the Club of Rome. The event will be broadcasted live on the internet.

The authors will discuss how a ‘prosperous future for all’ requires that economic well-being be largely decouples from the destruction of natural resources, especially in agriculture, and the pollution of the atmosphere. They will argue that this can only be achieved with a ‘New Enlightenment’ where a balance exists between humans and nature, between short term and long term and between public and private interests.
